Twenty-four years ago, I launched Enterra Solutions as a vehicle through which I could leverage my deep understanding of data science and applied mathematics to help the US government navigate the chaos of the post-9/11 world.
Our collaborative R&D at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory led to the development of best practices resiliency methodology and artificial intelligence technologies that could parse through structured and unstructured large datasets to help diagnose risk and build resiliency into critical infrastructure and organizations to stop bad guys from doing bad things.
I recall realizing soon after 9/11 that we had entered a new world. It was obvious to me that the flux and chaos of late 2001 and the years that followed that horrific day required new models for the new counterterrorism realities.
Fast forward to today, and I’m convinced we’re at a similar inflection point as a society and economy.
Thankfully this isn’t the consequence of a terrorist attack on our nation. It’s the result of myriad factors that in concert have contributed to a state of flux and uncertainty beyond anything I’ve ever seen in my 40+ years working at the intersection of technology, business and government.
For the past decade, we at Enterra have been applying our learnings from our government work to the commercial sector and enabling Fortune 500 companies to leverage our Enterra Autonomous Decision Sciences® (ADS) technology that consists of multi-modal human-like reasoning artificial intelligence, intelligent agents, applied mathematics, real-world optimization technologies and our ADS powered System of Intelligence™ performing end-to-end value chain optimizations and decision making.
Today, we bring to market our groundbreaking new Enterra Dynamic Enterprise Resiliency System™ (‘EDERS™’) product – a solution that arms enterprise executives with the ability to decode the world around their organization and predict future actions and act accordingly to turn chaos into a competitive advantage.
With last week’s announcement of reciprocal tariffs effectively ending decades of globalization and international trade, we find ourselves in uncharted territory, with no precedent and no historical model for how we navigate change and turn the chaos to our advantage.
This is where EDERS™ comes in. It’s the culmination of all our work over the past 24 years in using an integrated system diagnostic resiliency methodology, complexity science, artificial intelligence, and data science to predict the future and inform winning strategies.
